Hendricks Avenue Baseball

For nearly 70 years, Hendricks Avenue Baseball has provided a safe learning baseball environment for kids in the The Southbank, St. Nicholas, San Marco, Lakewood, and San Jose neighborhoods of Jacksonville, FL. Focusing on the principles of good sportsmanship, fair play, and fun, HAB strives to treat every child and parent with care, dignity, and respect.  With the help of families and volunteers, HAB has continued its mission to teach life lessons through the game of baseball. We believe in building confidence and character through proper coaching in a supportive environment. 

The HAB Crest & Logo

*Out of respect for US Soccer and its National program, the HAB Crest has been replaced with our new Hendricks Ave Angels logo.  We still believe in what the crest stands for, which you can read below. 

The HAB logo was redesigned in 2015 as a five sided crest to pay homage to Jacksonville's rich military history, with each side also representing a neighborhood surrounding our park: The Southbank, St. Nicholas, San Marco, Lakewood, and San Jose. We also wanted to tie together our nearly 70 year history with our future. Our crest harkens back to an era when we started, but our lettering has a modern and sleek look. Finally, the seven pillars symbolizes two ideas; Jacksonville's seven major bridges bringing together our community, and each pillar supports a core trait that guides our league:

2015 also marked the return of the original league colors of green and yellow, which was used from 1947 to 2013. That year, orange and blue became the standard colors of the park. The Hendricks Avenue Baseball League full logo was given a new style- modern and sleek typeface to complement the crest.

2016 introduced our park's new team nickname and logo. The Hendricks Avenue Angels represent our program through its Advanced Baseball and All-Star teams. These teams play competitively during the spring and summer months agains some of Jacksonville's best young players. The logo stems from the ideas laid out in our park philosophy, hence the team name and halo. The font was narrowed and shaped to impress a forward and modern baseball theory that applies to how we play.
